This beautiful, owner–managed African farm is nestled near the town of Oudtshoorn, between the majestic Swartberg and Outeniqua mountains in the heart of the Klein Karoo, which is also part of the world famous Garden Route in South Africa. It boasts over 2000 hectares and is part of the world`s 17 hotspots with 3 overlapping flower zones. Conveniently situated on the longest wine route in South Africa, namely Cape Route 62, De Zeekoe`s unique charm attracts guests of a different kind. People from all walks of life visit this stylish African farm in search of a unique experience.Enjoy a farm stay in the heart of the Klein Karoo along the famous route 62.

Guests can choose between various types of accommodation, ranging from stylish suites in “guest house” atmosphere to rustic waterfront chalets, either for a self catering stay, a stylish bed and breakfast or a farm holiday. Our Superior Rooms are wheelchair-friendly. We have 4 categories of rooms at the main house. Please view below.

Standard room: Our fully equipped standard rooms are ideal for single occupants or a one night`s stay over on a business trip. These basic rooms have a view from both sides - riverbed and mountain. The double standard rooms have a shower only and our twin standard room has an en-suite with a bath and separate shower. The twin beds are apart and cannot be moved together because of the layout of the room. Secure parking is available on-site at the main house.

Deluxe room: This spacious room with fireplace and open-plan bathroom is perfect for honeymooners. Views of the garden and Swartberg mountain range are at your doorstep. Honeymooners receive a complimentary bottle of our best local wine and flowers in their room. All rooms are equipped with all the necessary luxuries.

Superior room: De Zeekoe`s superior rooms all have large bedrooms with full en-suite bathrooms and open-air showers. These rooms also offer guests majestic views of the riverbed and mountain ranges. Meticulous attention was given to even the smallest of details - from the ostrich cushion feathers, persian carpets and soft lighting to the sandstone tiles in the quaint bathrooms. All rooms are equipped with all the necessary luxuries. All our Superior Rooms are wheelchair-friendly.

Luxury rooms: De Zeekoe`s old colonial homestead is over 150 years old. Restored to its former splendour, its tastefully decorated luxury rooms all open onto cool verandas, from where guests can enjoy a spectacular view of the lush indigenous garden, beyond which the vast planes of the Karoo stretch all the way to the stunning Outeniqua and Swartberg mountain ranges that tower in the distance. Each room is elegantly decorated in warm hues. Soft textures add a personal touch. All rooms are equipped with all the necessary luxuries.

Restaurant: The Klein Karoo is renowned for its unique cuisine. Traditional ostrich, venison and appetising vegetarian dishes with a unique Karoo twist are just some of the plates of delicacies offered on De Zeekoe`s impressive menu. We harvest our own fresh produce daily from our farm vegetable gardens, in which we cultivate organic vegetables, fruits, herbs and virgin olive oil. All our meat is free range. We serve gluten-free bread and lactose-free milk on request. De Zeekoe`s delicious dinners are complimented by its comprehensive local wine list, supplied from our own wine cellar. Wine tastings are available on request. Enjoy gathering around big fires in the evenings, before sitting down to your evening meal. Why not ask our kitchen to provide a picnic basket, so you can enjoy fresh and healthy food as you discover all that the area has to offer?

Conference
De Zeekoe is a place to relax and feel inspired - an African farm and reserve on 2000 hectares. Here, away from it all, in a relaxed atmosphere with magnificent views of the Olifants River bed and Outeniqua mountains, is an ideal place for business strategies and new developments to be brainstormed by you as leader and your team. Teambuilding programs can be arranged to suit your individual requirements from drumming to chocolate and wine tasting. We can seat 36 people board-room style, 60 people school-room style and 80 cinema-style. A data projector, flip chart, screen as well as 24-hour internet service is available. De Zeekoe is situated half way between Cape Town and Port Elizabeth and only 45 minutes drive from Mossel Bay and George. We can arrange transport to and from George airport. Accommodation for 40 people is available.

Wedding
The veranda of the old colonial-style homestead of De Zeekoe offers an ideal setting for a wedding ceremony, complimented by overwhelming tranquility and natural beauty. We specialise in small intimate weddings, comfortably seating 60 people. We can seat 120 people; 80 can be seated inside and if weather permits, the rest outside on the verandah. We can assist with arranging a wedding photographer, beautician and minister if requested. The staff at De Zeekoe will go the extra mile to assure a perfect start to a new chapter in your lives together, making it a treasured memory to look back on.
