Riad Maison Bleue was created in a house dating from the 19th century whose former owner, was the late Moulay Bel Arbi El Alaoui, famous judge and professor of theology. It was also the home where the late Aziz Lahbabi, Moroccan known philosopher was born. Today, Riad Maison Bleue, second Guest House restored and managed by the El Abbadi‘s family,consists of three interconnecting courtyards where guests feel as though they are negotiating the laneways of the ancient Medina of Fès. Riad Maison Bleue & Spa is above all your home, your place of relaxation.

Riad Maison Bleue occupies a 19th Century house previously belonging to Moulay Bel Arbi El Alaoui, eminent judge and professor of theology. The famous Moroccan philosopher, Aziz Lahbabi was also born and raised in this house. Today, Riad Maison Bleue, the second guest house restored and run by the El Abbadi family, consists of four interconnecting courtyards where guests feel as though they are negotiating the laneways of the ancient Medina of Fez.

Riad La Maison Bleue (33 Derb el Mitter, Ain Azliten, Fès) is located in one of the most historic quarters of the Fès Medina. A mysterious door off a laneway opens to reveal a wonder of Arabo-Andalusian architecture. The main courtyard, with its swimming pool and garden is surrounded by three deluxe rooms and a Moorish salon where you will be welcomed with a bowl of orange-blossom scented milk and dates stuffed with almonds.

Further accommodation is located in `The Pavilion of the Astrolabes`. It is named after the five antique Astrolabes that adorn the courtyard and Moorish salons, set around a central fountain. This house is a contemplative space with creamy ornate plasterwork offset by galleries of carved wooden latticework. The furniture is an eclectic mix of antiques, retro and specially designed modern pieces, which work together in fashionable harmony.

The Pavilion of the Astrolabes, comprising five rooms, can also be rented in its entirety for larger groups wanting private accommodation. Our newest wing, named `Mesria`, has four elegant suites that combine the best of both worlds. Timeless Moroccan style has been merged with more modern minimalism, resulting in elegant interiors and luxurious comfort.

All 18 suites in the hotel are equipped with an en suite bathroom, reverse-cycle air conditioning and heating, telephone, television, Internet access, mini bar, iPod dock and safe. Riad Maison Bleue has also achieved `Green Key` status as a hotel, through its efforts to aid sustainability. Ecotourism is one of our greatest concerns and we wish to make a positive contribution to the protection of our environment through changing our methods at the hotel.
